Bagi saya, dan pasti juga bagi sebagian besar rakyat Maluku, sulit menepis ingatan kolektif mengenai kegetiran hidup komunal sebagai dampak dari pecah dan berlarut-larutnya konflik sosial di Maluku sejak 19 Januari 1999 hingga menyusur pertengahan tahun 2005. Semua terjadi begitu cepat dan meluluhlantakkan pranata-pranata kehidupan sosial-budaya masyarakat Maluku tanpa seorang pun dapat menduga perubahan dan eskalasinya...
